Upon researching haunted locations across Idaho we discovered this true gem!
Although we cannot claim this site to be paranormal, we can say that if you can describe anything as being 'beautifully abandoned' then this has to be it!
This breathtaking church along highway 89, nestled in the tiny town of Ovid in Bear Lake, was once an LDS (Latter Day Saints) assembly hall attended by the towns very first Mormon settlers. First established in 1896, and dedicated by President William Budge.
Although now deserted, the church still showcases a nostalgically mournful charm and we can't help but wonder what stories are retained within the very fabric of this sacred property today.
Have you ever passed by this old site?
Haunted or not, we are sure you'll agree that this is a beautifully historical find.
